Privacy at the Academy

This notice describes how academy.fusiontrace.org works today.

What the Academy keeps

  • Your name, work email, agency or organization, role and pathway, given by whoever invited you.
  • Which modules and labs you completed, and when. Not your knowledge-check answers, and not how long you watched or read.
  • Each exam sitting: the questions drawn, the order shown, your answers, the score and the times. You see your result and the modules to review, never the key.
  • If you ask for a sitting by video: the times you said suit you, the proctor who scheduled it, the time and the meeting details.
  • The proctor's log for a supervised sitting: that your photo ID was checked by eye, never its number or an image of it, and any incident.
  • Certificates, their seals and every change of status. These are kept for good, so a certificate can always be checked by its ID (Standard D4.5).
  • Whether you chose to show your name when someone checks your certificate. The default is no (Standard D5.3).

What the Academy never does

  • No analytics, no advertising, no pixels, no pixel or redirect link in email, and no page that makes your browser ask any other site for anything.
  • No webcam, screen or keystroke monitoring by the Academy. A supervised exam is watched live by a proctor on a video call, with your camera on, and nothing is recorded or kept.
  • No case contents, ever. No form asks for them.
  • Individuals are never listed in the public Registry. Only agencies and Master Certified organizations are.

If you take the course offline

Save for the flight saves your course in this browser on your device: the module text, the knowledge checks, the labs with the demonstration package, the pages you read here, your module films, each with its captions, and a practice sitting of the exam's shape. Until the device reconnects it also keeps, for each module you finish, a completion key and, for a lab, the values your run produced, and for each practice sitting you finish, the answers you chose and the score. It never keeps your knowledge-check answers. The Academy keeps, for each save, a fingerprint of each module's key so it can tell a real completion from a typed one, and the position of the right option in each practice question so it can score a practice sitting again. It then records only that the module is complete, and the practice sitting's answers and score as practice, which never counts toward certification and never opens or closes an exam. Remove from this device deletes what the device saved, and so does signing out. The exam and signing the Canons are never saved on a device.

Module videos are served by the Academy from its video host, Cloudflare Stream, and their captions from the Academy's own files. Your browser asks only academy.fusiontrace.org. Whether captions show is a choice kept in this browser on your device, never sent anywhere.

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in. It is first-party, secure and not readable by scripts. It is set only on academy.fusiontrace.org. The Academy's earlier address, academy.fusiontrace.io, sends a visitor to the same page here; if you were signed in there, your sign-in is carried across once, and the Academy keeps a one-minute record of that handoff.

Mail

The Academy sends sign-in codes, invitations, reminders before a due date, and notices of a change of status, from academy@fusiontrace.io, through Resend, or Cloudflare Email Sending if Resend is unavailable.

Your record

You can ask to see, correct or delete what the Academy holds about you by writing to standard@fusiontrace.io. Certificate records and status changes stay, because a certificate must stay checkable by its ID.
